Successes

Project successes include:

• Getting the Maasai Lenkoebi communities’ Geographic Information System (GIS) on the map so they can benefit from mobile healthcare and food distribution.
• Completing first phase of the Maasai Climate-Resilient School
• Supporting the humanitarian aid appeal to deliver food to the community during El Nino-driven droughts and the hunger crisis of 2016-17.
• Promoting the establishment of a legal “Maasai Community Based Organization.”
• Recovering part of the community’s land rights.
• Promoting the request of missing birth certificates.
• Approaching international donors for community-based climate adaptation initiative.
